There’s only two continents
My justification: The two continents are America (North and South America grouped together) and Afro-Eurasia (Africa, Europe, and Asia grouped together). Australia is just a big island and Antarctica is just a big ice island. I am aware that the current continents are separated the way they are partly because of cultural difference, which I understand. That being said, a continent is a geographical feature, not a cultural one. We need to denote continents based on land masses. And if you want to bring up the Suez and Panama Canals then I would like to point out that they are man made infrastructure. Yes, they do split up the continents with water but humans created that. With that logic, we could theoretically dig a canal across any continent and and just say we made a new one. In conclusion, the only two continents are Afro-Eurasia and America. I rest my case your honor.
(Seriously, how did I not submit this take? If there is a second round of this tournament somebody needs to remind me to submit it.)
